Chime #1 Sunday 25 - OCT -2020

Gooday, I am chime. The character was created by the guy above and I will be taking over both the character and the project to move it along faster! I will upload updates every single Sunday from now on!

Chime #1 Sunday 25 - OCT -2020

Alright, we have a direction on how to bring about playable updates instead of just dropping one large game years from now.
We decided to use Uri's dialogue algorithm and apply it to the combat RNG to make randomized encounters that feel unique every time. For, now we decided to focus on the combat code and fix up what Uri already has to something unique, fluid, and playable.

@Le-Twig [Found on our Discord] Drew up a visual of how the combat will play out.

In short, the combat will be similar to the First Person Shooter style referenced from those arcade games we all know and love, but keeping the artist style of the original creator. It also will not be point and shoot, it will all be automated, except for skills/commands that the player can use in combat that will affect the environment, allies, or enemies. The combat will also be real-time and will not wait for the player.
Everything will be animated in the hopes that it doesn't look like a funky flash game from the early 2000s, but more like old-style 1993 DOOM with remastered graphics.

It will be a challenge, but I will try to upload soon a short video of how it looks and feels once we get a testable version.

In Twigs, the picture you can see on the right side is how the player will be able to see the image, but on the left is how it will be rendered by Python in order to allow the RNG to play with the environment allowing objects to block and reduce projectiles along with including "z" as the distance on the graph so it affects projectile's range and damage when the numbers are calculated.

This way combat feels fun, but does not get tiresome nor repetitive like most turn based strategy games.
